About us

Shropshire Severn and Teme Scout District provides over 900 young people with the opportunities to develop skills for life and supported by our valued volunteers

About Us

Through the Scout programme young people become more resilient, confident and more compelled to take some responsibility for their communities. Whether it’s fire lighting at one of our Campsites, canoeing on the River Severn, learning to navigate in the Shropshire Hills or simply learning to make friends in one of our groups is a fantastic place to Scout.

We have 13 groups, 4 Explorer Units and one Network group, and growing, spread across north and south Shropshire, the District and all our groups are delivering a high quality programme.

To supplement the high quality programmes delivered by our groups, we have active archery team, shooting team, water activities, caving and climbing.

We also work collegiately with the other Scout Centres in the Region and have strong links with other like minded organisations.

We hope this website serves to support our fantastic volunteers to make Scouting as fun for them as it is for the young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
