News:

8th Bridgnorth had a great year in 2024 successfully starting a Squirrel Drey as well as staying active across its other Beaver, Cub, and Scout sections. We are also really pleased that the Panther Explorer Unit, based in Bridgnorth, continues to expand and go from strength to strength providing an older section for our Scouts to move onto locally.

We are delighted to welcome new Section leaders for both Squirrels and Severn Cubs along with several assistant leaders across different sections.

In 2024 we are looking forward to undertaking a range of adventurous activities, like last year, including climbing & abseiling, hill, and mountain walking as well as paddle sport activities on the river Severn and local canals.

We have successfully been granted charity status which we hope will also ease our journey with fund raising as we work towards fulfilling our building project to expand and develop our existing hut.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
