Adult Learning

Occasional Helpers are Adult supporters who only attend scouting meetings or activities up to 6 times a year. Apart from a DBS there is no further Training but OH can do compulsory Leader modules if they wish.

Section Assistants are Adult supporters who attend regularly but cannot run meetings on their own. They need a DBS, Modules 1 and 3 and all Compulsory Modules.

Assistants and Leaders require all Basic Modules to gain their wood badge. The Module Matrix shows what training each adult member is required to undertake.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
